January 20, 2025LAS VEGAS — The River Valley High School cheerleading team is celebrating a major victory after taking first place at the United Spirit Association (USA) Regional competition, hosted at Desert Oasis High School.
Head coach Dana Abell expressed her pride in the team’s performance, stating, “The team truly came together and overcame several challenges in the past few weeks. Their positive attitude during warm-ups and the energy they brought to the mat were incredible. This was our first time competing at a national-level event, and they made sure River Valley High School stood out.”
Road to Nationals
With this impressive win, the Dust Devils have earned their spot at the Nationals, set to take place on February 14 in Anaheim, California. However, before heading to Anaheim, they will compete at the state championship, which kicks off this Friday at the Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Phoenix.
