ORLANDO, Fla. – The Ole Miss cheer team has achieved a groundbreaking victory, claiming their first-ever national championship in the Division IA Traditional All-Girl category at the Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) College Nationals.
A Champion-Worthy Performance
The Rebels delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 88.5 in the semifinals on Saturday to advance to Sunday’s finals. They clinched the national title with an impressive final score of 91.4, showcasing their exceptional talent and teamwork.
This marks the fourth UCA national championship for Ole Miss in the past eight years. The team previously secured titles in 2018 and 2022 in the D1A All-Girl Game Day category, as well as in 2023 in the D1A Spirit Program Game Day competition.
Celebrating Team Spirit and Dedication
Head cheer coach Skylar Casey expressed immense pride in the team’s accomplishment, saying, “I’m extremely proud of this team and these athletes. They worked so hard for this achievement and completely deserve it. The culture and standard they set is extraordinary.”
Casey highlighted the bond within the team, adding, “It’s more than just winning—it’s about sisterhood. I’m so thankful to be their head coach. These athletes are phenomenal individuals on and off the mat. I’m excited for them to celebrate this historic moment together.”
Additional Achievements at the UCA Nationals
The Rebels didn’t stop with their All-Girl title. They also achieved:
- Fourth place in the D1A Spirit Program Game Day category.
- Ninth place in the Traditional Cheer Coed section.
In the D1A Spirit Program Game Day division, both the Ole Miss Cheer team and Rebelettes joined forces to deliver an electrifying performance. The combined routine was evaluated on crowd leadership, skill execution, motion technique, and overall impact.

The victory not only cements Ole Miss Cheer’s position among the nation’s best but also reflects their dedication to pushing boundaries in collegiate cheerleading. This historic win is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and unity of the entire team.
