LEXINGTON, Ky. – The University of Kentucky cheerleading team secured seventh place in the Division IA Game Day competition at the 2025 Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Championships in Orlando, Florida.
The Wildcats entered the finals in fourth place after a strong semifinal performance on Friday night, but ultimately finished in seventh after the final round. This follows their sixth-place finish in the same category at the 2024 UCA Nationals.
On Saturday, Kentucky’s cheer team will shift focus to the Division IA large coed division, a category they’ve dominated with a record 24 national titles. The Wildcats are set to compete in the semifinals at 10:49 a.m., aiming for another top finish.
The team’s consistent performance continues to solidify Kentucky’s reputation as a powerhouse in collegiate cheerleading.
