December 24, 2024The Coventry Dynamite cheerleading team, Lady Grenades, is gearing up to deliver an electrifying performance in the semi-finals of Britain’s Got Talent. With a mission to inspire others and spotlight the sport of cheerleading, the team promises a high-energy routine that showcases their athleticism, artistry, and team spirit.
On Tuesday’s live broadcast, the Lady Grenades will perform in front of the star-studded judging panel, including Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli. The group earned unanimous praise during their initial audition, with Cowell calling them “absolutely brilliant.”
Team captain Leshay Bravo shared her excitement about this opportunity:
“We’re thrilled and honored to perform on the iconic Britain’s Got Talent stage. This is a chance to showcase the incredible athleticism of cheerleading, and we hope to inspire more athletes and bring greater recognition to this amazing sport in the UK.”
The Lady Grenades, comprised of athletes aged 13 to 19, have already made their mark, securing numerous national and international titles, including a third-place finish at the Cheerleading World Championships.
Speaking to BBC Radio CWR, team member Izy expressed her excitement about performing on the show:
“I can’t wait for the semi-finals, seeing Ant and Dec, and just having a great time performing!”
Teammate Phoebe echoed the sentiment, calling the opportunity a “big moment” for the team.
The Lady Grenades are competing for a coveted spot in the grand final, where the ultimate winner will take home a £250,000 prize and the honor of performing at the Royal Variety Performance.
