October 26, 2025On September 27, 2025, the Teikyo University Cheerleading Club BUFFALOS took the stage at Ikebukuro Sunshine City in Tokyo’s Toshima Ward, participating in the 2025 TOKYO Coexistence Society Disability Awareness Caravan organized by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government.

This meaningful event was designed to raise public awareness about people with disabilities and promote an inclusive society, in connection with the upcoming Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics, which Japan will host for the first time from November 15 to 26, 2025.

Responding to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government’s invitation, the BUFFALOS energized the audience with a lively cheer and dance performance. Together with the popular comedy duo Elf, they performed the Deaflympics theme song “Shuwashuwa☆Deaflympics!” and encouraged audience participation, fostering deeper understanding and unity through shared energy and fun.

The Caravan event will be held four times in total, with the Teikyo University Cheerleading Club set to continue performing as opening acts at upcoming venues. Beyond competition, the team aims to be Japan’s top cheerleading club while embracing respect, diversity, and individuality.
By combining athletic spirit with social contribution, the Teikyo University Cheerleading Club continues to play an important role in spreading awareness of the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics and promoting the values of coexistence and inclusion throughout Japan.
